Heading for a better future
2010 - present
Much has been achieved since Jua was founded. Help has become much more accessible and there is more general awareness on domestic (sexual) violence, also in the judicial system in the area.
Achieved a lot
This is partly because we provide information at schools and to the local community, so that signals of violence and abuse are recognized more quickly and better and help is requested sooner.
2010 - Present
We have gained a lot of experience during this period. This has taught us that information and visibility are important for achieving our goals.

Program Expansion
That is why Jua rescue center wants to develop a third activity, in addition to crisis shelter and the home-based care program, focused on prevention and education. We will do this at schools and in the local community.

Prevention
We believe that a good prevention program contributes to reducing (sexual) domestic violence and also to reducing HIV and STD infections, child marriages and teenage pregnancies. In this way we also want to contribute to positive sustainable development in the area in the longer term.
